Transport pedal adjustment on 2009 61" Scag

Just got my hands on a 2009 61" Scag, but I've noticed that I couldn't bring the transport pedal to engage properly. If this an adjustment issue, does anyone have tips on how to adjust it the right way? Appreciate any insights

Check the linkage under the deck. For me there was this time I had a worn bushing that threw the whole thing off. Luckily, just a small adjustment on the stop bolt fixed the engagement.

I have a 2012 Scag Turf Tiger 61" and ran into the same issue after picking it up secondhand. Mine needed a simple pedal height adjustment. there are three positions you can set it to for better leverage. I followed the steps in the manual to reposition the deck lift foot lever and it made a big difference. Make sure the lanyard pin is seated right too, or it won't lock in.
