Hey folks, I'm trying to decide between two mowers: the Dixie Chopper 2703 and the Scag Turf Tiger. Both have their fans, but I'd love to hear from people with real experience using them. Which do you think gives better performance, durability, and overall value? If you had to choose, which one would you go with?

I know a few people that had the chopper and upgraded to the tiger and never looked back. So if it's withing your budget, get the scag and don't think twice.

I know this is an older thread but if you read Bob Villa's reviews on Zero Turn Mowers he gives the Scag the best rating for hilly terrain... Where I live in Western, WA this can be a big advantage...

Hey @Marrio, from what I’ve seen and heard around here, the Scag Turf Tiger tends to edge out the Dixie Chopper on performance and durability, especially if you’ve got hills or tougher terrain. A lot of users swear by it and say it’s worth the extra cost. If budget isn’t a dealbreaker, the Turf Tiger’s usually the safer bet for long-term value.
